On this very day, 25 years ago, I was 39 years old. It’s not my birthday or anything at all significant. I just happened to think about that this morning. Carry on.
It’s kind of like the joke, “Today I broke my own record of consecutive days alive.” It really does boggle the mind with regard to how fast your life goes by. It seems like only yesterday that I was locked up in a juvenile detention center for stealing a car. I’m just kidding! It was a motorcycle.
Seriously though, my 45th high school reunion was last year in September. 45 years? That’s not possible! That’s longer than my children have been alive! Well I guess that’s normal, but my wife of 23 years was born 46 years ago. I know! In her stand up comedy act, she claims to be my graduation present.
All I can say is that things are so very different now. I stay home, write and try not to have seizures while Heather works full time. I never thought that would happen. I thought I would be robbing banks, I mean working as a comedian until I died. I guess I’ll have to revert to stealing Harleys.
