Great customer service? You’re fired!!!

An Oregon woman who worked at US Bank, went above and beyond the call of duty to help a customer in need. Her reward? She was fired, along with her supervisor. No joke.

It was Christmas time and the young male customer was trying to get money from an ATM, unaware that the bank had put a hold on his $1,000 payroll check. Yes, a payroll check. The guy was just trying to get enough gas to get home. οΏΌ

There was no one at work to over ride the hold, so she drove to meet the customer and gave him $20 of her own money so he could get home for Christmas. Going above and beyond the call of duty would have been par for the course at a Ritz-Carlton who is very well known for praising employees for taking great care of their customers.

Not at US Bank, apparently. Great customer service is so rare in this day and age. It’s most unfortunate, to say the least. I’m calling for anyone who banks at this institution to call and complain about this ridiculous decision. “US Bank, where customer service is our middle finger.”

  1. If I banked at US Bank (I don’t), I would close out any and all accounts today based on this story. This is an abomination. THUMBS UP πŸ‘πŸ‘ to that young lady who went well above and beyond to help a customer in need. Thumbs DOWN πŸ‘ŽπŸ‘Ž and a pox on US Bank for being heartless, greedy, capitalists with no concern for the 99% of the people in this nation. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Joined the UK Civil Service in 1968- Public Service was the first instruction in bold print in every one of our many instruction books.
Fast forward to 2012. Staff on the call centre phones were being disciplined for spending too long talking to a ‘customer’
    I decided to retire.
