Who Took My Latte???

No one should be surprised by paying four dollars for a drink at a place called ‘$tarBUCKS’.

Subliminal? I think so. Either that or they’re putting crack in the ‘pumpkin spice latte’. I love them. I crave them. I would pay most anything for them. At some point I think we lose all common sense when we are in Starbucks.

Last week, I was in a Starbucks store and I ordered a pumpkin spice latte. Warm, nutmeg, whip cream, the works. They called my name and when I was in the car, several miles away that I had received a simple cup off coffee! I know!

I didn’t have time to go back and I really don’t like their coffee. Too strong for my taste. So, I threw it away when I got to my destination. Fortunately, it was a doctor appointment and I didn’t care if I was late. They’re always running late anyway, so I got a pumpkin spice latte at a nearby (aren’t they all?) Starbucks.

Then I realized that I had paid for two pumpkin spice lattes and only wound up with one. I was very angry until the first sip of the drink. After that, I couldn’t have cared less about their and my misfortune. The drink took away all of my worries and cares. I even v volunteered to go over to my mother in law’s place. There’s definitely something in those drinks!

  1. Hey Jerry! Sorry I haven’t popped in here lately … overwhelmed is the key word these days, with so much happening in the world of … well, you know … that fool on the hill that I cover. Anyway … I am rather hooked on Starbucks, too. We go to Barnes & Noble most Saturdays, and the thing I live for all week is a couple of hours to peruse books and sip a latte. My fave is Salted Caramel Mocha, but Pumpkin Latte and Peppermint Mocha run a close second. Cheers! ☕☕

By the way … Roger asked me to let you know that he is, once again, having issues with WP and that it is forcing him to be “Anonymous”, although I see his picture in your ‘likes’, so I assume he successfully liked this one! I think the powers that be in WP headquarters have some sort of beef with our Roger. 😦

      1. I didn’t leave, Jerry … just been so busy that I haven’t had time to go a-visitin’. I’ll try to pop in more often, though! I think WordPress likes to tease our Roger … one hour it works for him, but an hour later it doesn’t.
