I Have A Plate In My Head!!!

Several years ago, Heather broke her elbow and they had to put a plate in there in order to heal properly and then protect in the future. Poor baby, now she has to walk around all day with a saucer under her skin. The only time it comes in handy is when she’s with her friends at a coffeehouse. That way she can just rest her arm on the table with her saucer.

Can you imagine what that would be like? I mean, what if they had to put a plate in my head? I have a pretty large head so I think it would require at least a small dinner plate. That would look very weird. Plus, what if I break it? I’ve broken a lot of dishes in my life. But if that one would break, there goes the brain. although no one would notice a difference in my behavior or IQ, it would be obvious that thing had shattered.

I hope Heather’s saucer never breaks. I know! Can you imagine how painful that would be? If they have to put some sort of plate shaped object in her elbow at least they could have used a frisbee. It would still look weird but it would never break. Plus the dogs would absolutely love her because, well, what dog doesn’t love a nice frisbee?

Ok, I know that the plates are actually metal but it really makes you think if you took everything you read or hear literally, this world would be a very different place. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to wash the plate in my head. I wonder if I could just stick my head in the dishwasher? I’ll give it a try and get back to you.

  1. I actually have a friend who has a plate in his head! Frequently we invite him over … it’s one less dish to wash, for he brought his own plate! And when it’s time to leave, he asks if he can “fill his plate” to take home for later! 🤣
