What someone thinks about you is none of your business has become my new mantra. It is so liberating. I know! Like right now, I’m thinking about Melissa McCarthy. I wonder if she’s mad at me? After all, she’s never even made the attempt to get in touch with me. But do I care? Nope. It’s none of my business.
I used to have a friend that I was really close too for many years. Suddenly, he stopped responding to text messages and voice mails. You’d think he would at least respond to just one of the 2,629 messages I sent last month.
It happens. Life happens and friends and family members drift apart. I have given up and let go. I’m no longer worried if I did something to offend him. Time to let it go. I have plenty of good friends to hang out with, talk to, rob toll booths with…
I think the only exception to this rule is if I stand trial for the toll booth robberies. What 12 complete strangers think of me becomes very much my business. I couldn’t care less what my attorney thinks of me, just do your best to beat this thing. I just remembered that I’ve never once heard from the Kenyan who won the big marathon here last year. Do you think he’s ticked off at me?

I did enjoy this one Jerry, really taking a looking at the way we think and carry on and standing it on its head.
And it’s all true…even funnier.
