I really like asparagus. I also like cauliflower and broccoli. This is how I know that I’m no longer a kid. Plus, some little people back east keep calling me ‘Papa’. I’m not exactly sure what that means, but I’m pretty sure old guys are called that. What’s next, a hankering for liver and onions?
It’s hard for me to believe that I have eight grandkids. I am so blessed! Still, there’s eight of them! I know! That means I’m old but whenever I am with them, which is never enough, they make me feel young again. What an amazing gift for them to give me!
Wait, if they make me feel young, does that mean I make them feel old? It stands to reason, doesn’t it? Does that mean that they feel arthritis pain when I visit them? Do they need more fiber in their diet? Have to start taking 36 pills before bed time?
Seriously, they are truly wonderful and no matter what you think about your grandkids, mine are better. Really, they are and if you say otherwise, we’re going to have to throw down. Or maybe have the kids duke it out and claim the victor! Mine live in Mississippi and Georgia, so we’ll need a logistics coordinator. Volunteers?
