Yesterday I found a $20 bill in the parking lot at my doctor’s office. I took it inside and gave it to the person behind the desk. When I saw the doctor, he told me I have scruples. I knew it! probably got it from handling the money.
I wonder how many people are turning in money they find in parking lots. I know some people who would certainly put it in their pocket and think nothing of it. I don’t think that’s the right thing to do. Who knows what the money means to the person who dropped it?
What if it was someone who needed that to complete their rent payment? What if that 20 bucks was all someone had to buy food? What if it belonged to a little kid? They would be devastated! That $20 will be spent very fast and be forgotten, except for the person who dropped it.
Of course if you’re a married man, that dough will last you a couple of years, because we never have any cash in our pockets. In fact I have a lone 20 dollar bill in my pocket right now. I’ve had it about a month now and plan on keeping it forever.
