My brain travels at the speed of light…One second it’s here and the next it’s 186,000 miles away.
I think as I get older, I seem to forget where I put things, what I’ve said or written or where I’ve put things. I think as I get older, I seem to forget where I put things, what I’ve said or written or where I’ve put things… Yikes! See what I mean! I know!
Things just start to go haywire. Why the term ‘haywire’ to describe it when things go wonky? Why wonky? Most of us have to buy reading glasses in our 40’s. I had 20-20 vision my whole life and then bam! I either had to buy readers or develop arms like ‘Inspector Gadget’ to get what I read far enough away.
My wife just bought her first readers yesterday. She was slightly upset about it until she came home and used them. Following that, she was ecstatic (which is pronounced ‘ekstatik’ and not ‘estatik’. I feel better now.) She spent half of the evening being amazed that she could see well again. She also bought a harmonica, which she doesn’t know how to play, a back scratcher and a tiny keyboard vacuum, so she may just be losing her mind.
