Last week I told Heather I needed to go to the doctor’s office. She asked, “Which doctor?” I said “No, just our family doctor.”
I’m not sure what a witch doctor does. Do they only treat witches? Do witches even have health insurance? Glinda Care? I don’t think they make enough cash to pay for surgeries. Maybe annual checkups. These questions were not made clear in ‘The Wizard of Oz’, ‘Practical Magic’ or ‘The Witches of Eastwick’.
I think the most common ailment treated by witch doctors would be wart removal. And perhaps nose jobs. Are witch doctors also certified plastic surgeons? I don’t think so, but I’m not sure the AMA would go after them and risk getting cursed.
Someone once paid for me to go visit her Shaman, but I didn’t go. There is nothing wrong with my spirit, at least I don’t think so. Besides, I’m allergic to incense. Do they even use incense? I have no idea. I have enough trouble dealing with normal health issues. I don’t think I want someone messing around with my inner being. What about dental?
