I was talking to my friend about crazy things that we and people we know have done. My friend said, “My uncle tried to make a new kind of car. He took the wheels from a Cadillac, the grill from a Rolls-Royce, and tires from a Mercedes.” I asked, “What did he get?” He said, “Four years.”
Sometimes I see really crazy looking vehicles, be they cars, motorcycles, bicycles or unicycles. Sometimes a classic car’s appearance is forever altered and I suppose that either the ‘artist’ had a lot of money and is not concerned with resale value or they have completely lost their minds.
And is it just me when a really cool classic car is completely destroyed on a TV show or a motion picture production set? Sometimes it takes several tries to get it exactly right and I get upset. I’ve been known to scream at the screen during a movie at the theater, “That’s insane! They could have given it to me!!!”
I’ve also been known to spend time in jail and psych wards. I’m not crazy. I can’t be the only one who has a strong reaction when one of their favorite cars gets destroyed for the sake of a scene from a movie. The judges always disagree but I’m betting they feel the same way deep down. Oh well, with all of the restraining orders I can’t get near one anyway.

Classic opening line Jerry. I can hear the comics ‘up there’ applauding.
