As usual, I wasn’t paying attention in math class. My teacher noticed and asked me “Jerry, what is 2, 4, 13 and 44?” I said “CBS, ABC, FOX and HBO.” He was not amused.
I love television. Really love it. A lot. I guess what I’m saying is that I’m a TV junkie. I watch a lot of shows. Major Crimes, Criminal Minds, Criminal Minds Beyond Borders, Dateline, 48 Hours Mystery, Big Bang Theory, American Housewife, Scandal, How to Get Away With Murder, NCIS, Imaginary Mary, Mary Kills People, Grey’s Anatomy, 60 Days In, Deadliest Catch, Tucker Carlson Tonight, Wahlburgers, and Blue Bloods. That’s all I can think of off hand.
I know! But since I’m sick there isn’t a lot to do. Don’t get me wrong, I do a lot of chores around the house so my wife won’t have to do them when she comes home. I clean the kitchen and the bathrooms, get everything ready for her to go to work. I also make the bed in case she wants to take a nap when she comes home. And I write blogs and books.
I am a great wife. (Insert rim shot) I really wish I could get a job like before and perform as well as teach comedy classes. But it’s not possible right now. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen someday. Just not now.
So for now this is my stage, my canvas and I’ll do what I can do be as funny and creative as possible. I sometimes hit Heather in the face with a cream pie, just for fun. I don’t mind. The couch is very comfortable.

It’s a worthy strategy (I don’t think I’d have the courage for the Pie though, even though my wife is currently reading a biography about Charlie Chaplin)
