Its terrible that ALL women will not be able to celebrate the day. Instead, they will be mistreated and oppressed. Shame.
If you are blessed to be able to celebrate this day, I hope we all be sure to give thanks and pray for all of the women who are unable to. My heart goes out to them.
I believe in equality for all women. I think that should include professional sports as well. Why not? The softball pitches are typically the same speed as major league pitches and some of these players, I believe would fare well. They would go through the minor league system just as men do and if one of them is tearing it up, promote them to the show. If not, at least they had the chance.
How about every major support? What would be the problem? No fan support? I strongly disagree with that theory. I think it would bring a lot more women to watch a female compete with the men. I think male egos can’t handle it and that’s why it doesn’t happen. Let’s remember Jackie Robinson. Until he was allowed in, black people had to have their own league.
Look at the progress over the years. Had it remained that way there wouldn’t have been a Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, Willy McCovey, Bob Gibson, Reggie Jackson, Barry Bonds, etc.
So why not open the door to women? What do you have to lose? Put them in the minors like every other player and see what happens.
The only thing I have trouble with is fighting in wars. Women aren’t too weak, they are just too precious to lose. That’s just my opinion. I know they can handle it, I think women are the backbone of our country and we need every last one of you here. Now if someone is faced with a long prison term, OK put them in basic training and see how they react. I’m OK with that.
What do you think?
