I don’t know why everyone is so upset that Jeff Sessions spoke with a Russian Ambassador prior to becoming a Republican surrogate for the Republican candidate. Sarah Palin could see Russia from her house outside of Wasilla, Alaska which means she could have been in communication with a mirror or smoke signals.
Depending on which side you talk with there was perjury because he lied to Congress while under oath. The other side says that he didn’t lie because he was asked by Al Franken if he spoke to any Russian official while being a surrogate for the presidential candidate.
Franken: If there is any evidence that anyone affiliated with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course of this campaign what will you do?
Sessions: Senator Franken I’m not aware of … uh … any of those activities. I have been called a surrogate a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communication with the Russians and I’m unable to comment.
So the question is did he commit perjury by answering a question truthfully but leaving out the fact he talked two times with the Russian ambassador prior to getting involved in the campaign?
Similarly, in a questionnaire answer to Senator Patrick Leahy, Sessions denied contacting any Russian government officials or operatives regarding the election .
Several of the President-Elect’s nominees or senior advisers have Russian ties. Have you been in contact with anyone connected to any part of the Russian government about the 2016 election, either before or after election day?
No matter what happens, I know that I am safe. I never even eat Russian dressing on my salads. Hate the stuff, therefore I despise all Russians. Sarah Palin on the other hand….
