Everlasting Love… Wait a Minute!!!

A friend of mine got a text from his former fiancé. “Dear John, I made a dreadful mistake in breaking up with you. I can’t eat, sleep or think of anything but you. Will you please forgive me and take me back”? Love, Terri. “Oh, and congratulations on winning the Power Ball!”

To much or too little money can bring out the real side of people. Too much and you might see greed. Too little and you might see a lack of loyalty among friends, spouses, ex-spouses, etc. You could wind up with a lot of money and a ton of phoney friends or no friends at all.

I’ve heard it said so many times that the Bible says money is the root of all evil. There’s not true. The passage is in I Timothy 6:10:

“For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil….

People are killed every day over money. Someone owes a debt to the wrong people and can’t pay. Somebody failed to pay the ‘insurance’ money for protection of their business. Someone has a heart attack while writing an alimony check.

I have escaped alimony three times. I was very lucky, I guess. All three were able, according to court documents, to make enough money. Child support was a different story. You have to take care of the kids.

In the meantime, I have a great new business idea that I’ll hit my friend up for start up cash. We’re close. I’m sure he’ll do it.
