I Broke The Record!!

Today, I have broken my all time record for consecutive days alive!

Well, today I’m 64 years old. Wait a minute, 64????? The big six four?? How did this happen? Who is responsible? Someone must be punished! Um, wait a minute. That would undoubtedly be God. The Almighty. I was just kidding about the punishment thing.

Saturday night was a great time. Lots of friends and family gathered at our house and celebrated the fact that I’m one year closer to the end. It was a lot of fun and I love everyone who was there. Thank you all for not mentioning that the end is near. Wow, am I way over the top, or what?

I actually almost enjoyed turning 60. Almost. I’m thinking I might have another 20 years left, unless the bounty hunters catch up with me, so I can do what I want. A good combination of writing, fun with loved family and friends and naps. Oh, and more naps.

Let’s face it, birthdays can be great, but you have to be careful. If you have too many, I’ve heard it can kill you.

I think I’ll start writing volume three of the “Twisted Musings” series and get my performance DVD into the on-line stores. That will keep me busy. And climb Mt. Everest if I have time. You don’t have to train for that, do you?

  1. Happy Birthday My friend!!!!!!
Forget about the past, you can’t change it.
Forget about the future, you can’t predict it.
Forget about the present, I didn’t get you one.

  2. Hi Jerry.
Belated Happy Birthdays wishes……………… kiddo (I’m 65 this year)
The cool thing about hitting 6-0 is that you become the youngest in many demographic or marketing age groups.
(Like those 75 year olds, man. Like they talk about ‘they’ve seen it all’ and, y’know like ‘us 60-somethings got it all to come’…and y’know some do that Gandalf thing with the wisdom of ages posture)
Embrace it. Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional.
    Best wishes
