Years ago, I worked in a clothing store. A woman and her son were looking at ladies jackets. The woman approached me and asked me, “If you had a girlfriend, what kind would you get”? I said,”One that is bullet proof. I’m married”!
I guess she didn’t notice that my own clothing wasn’t even color coordinated. I’m partially colorblind and I can never get the combinations right. It’s all very complicated to me and I can never seem to get it right. I can’t begin to mention all of the times I thought I got ready to go out with Heather and she said, “You can’t wear those two colors together”! Then she’ll go get what I’m supposed to wear.
I really should just give up and let her pick out my clothes in the first place. That would save a lot of time and aggravation. That’s a good idea. Everyone would be happy that way. The only time I ever refuse to wear something Heather picks out is if it is uncomfortable. To me, there are very few things in everyday life that are worse than wearing uncomfortable attire.
So now she picks out my clothing at the store. I don’t even need to be there. I despise shopping anyway, so it’s a win-win! The only time I get in hot water is when she asks me where a certain item is. I usually have no idea. I really need to clean out my closet.
But, not today. Its Saturday and we’re not going anywhere, so I can wear whatever I want to. I’m thinking maybe some sweats and a Hawaiian shirt. Sweet!
Haha! Great response to the lady’s question!
So, you too? I never go out unaccompanied to buy clothes; the results just don’t bear thinking out.
