Where is it Going??

Sarah Palin says that Bill Nye is as much of a scientist as she is. Really? At least he’s never claimed that he could see Russia from his house.

Bill Nye , Scientist
Why pick on Bill Nye from out of the blue? It makes me wonder if she thinks he’s running for office. Apparently she took the kids to see it and thought it was rubbish. Ok, trash the film If you must, but don’t attack Bill Nye.

William Sanford “Bill” Nye popularly known as Bill Nye the Science Guy, is an American science educator, comedian, television presenter, actor, writer, scientist, and former mechanical engineer, best known as the host of the Disney/PBS children’s science show Bill Nye the Science Guy (1993–1998) and for his many subsequent appearances in popular media as a science educator.

Sarah Palin did a good job as Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. But Palin’s first major interview as a Vice President candidate, with Charles Gibson of ABC News, met with mixed reviews. Her interview five days later with Fox News Channel’s Sean Hannity went more smoothly and focused on many of the same questions from Gibson’s interview.Palin’s performance in her third interview with Katie Couric, of CBS News, was widely criticized; her poll numbers declined, Republicans expressed concern that she was becoming a political liability, and some conservative commentators called for Palin to resign from the Presidential ticket.

So attack Bill Nye as ridiculous as that sounds but I think it’s better to keep your trap shut. You didn’t like the movie, which is directed toward his core audience, children.

I visited Wasilla once where I nearly met my demise. It was November and it was extremely cold. I called my kids every day no matter where I was. Canada, France, the U.K, even Alaska.

The phones were out and I went looking for a McDonalds I saw nearby on the way in. Unfortunately, I went the wrong way. I made it to a gas station just as hypothermia was setting in. My face was nearly frozen, but the attendant, while calling me a moron (well deserved) got me warm again. I asked him where Wasilla was and he told me that I was there.

That was the first and only time I went to Alaska. One near death experience is enough for me. I think next time it will be Hawaii or Naples Florida. I’ve hear about people falling asleep in the sun and being flown to intensive care, but they all survived.

That’s my kind of place. Stay out of the sun and drink panía coladas all day. And I probably won’t run into Sarah Palin. If I do, I’ll say “Bill Nye is a scientist but you are a lousy politician.”

The end.
