We’re having our first major snow storm. High winds, slick roads, accidents, power outages. Lots of damage, but nothing compared to the great cheese storm of 1987.
Roquefort, Camembert, Cotija, Chèvre,Feta, Mozzarella, Emmental, Cheddar,Gouda, Taleggio, Parmigiano-Reggiano, Manchego, Monterey, Jack… you name it, it fell.

It was a wonderful day, that baffled scientists at NASA, as well as meteorology experts everywhere. Turns out it was simply a publicity stunt by Chuck E Cheese.
There were fines, outraged lactose intolerant people storming the capitol building, not to mention the massive clean up effort.
The great cheese storm was followed, of course, by the great milk of magnesia storm.
